The Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookie

This is the best Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe!  It calls for 4 cups of chocolate chips.  That's right 4 cups and it is delicious down to every last morsel!  Also for kicks, I made a six ounce ball of dough and chilled it in the refrigerator.  I baked this cookie by itself at 375 degrees for 15 minutes and cooled it on the baking sheet.  The height of the cookie was 1-1/4 inches!  I was in chocolate heaven.

Ingredients
1/2 cup butter (room temperature)
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
6 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1-1/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 cups chocolate chips (your choice)

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Line baking sheets with parchment paper.  Sift flour, baking soda and salt in medium bowl.  Set aside.

In bowl of electric mixer, beat butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar on medium speed until blended well.  Add egg and vanilla and mix until blended.  On low speed, add the flour mixture just until incorporated.  Mix in the chocolate chips.  Drop by heaping spoonfuls (about 3 level tablespoons each) onto prepared baking sheets.  Bake cookies one sheet at a time until the edges are lightly browned and centers are golden.  Bake for 15 minutes .
